Mira Moroz tells the moving story of her grandfather Marian Moroz, who lived in Germany as a Polish forced laborer during the Second World War and fell in love with a German woman - a love that was forbidden under the Nazi regime and almost cost him his life. The lecture combines personal family history with a look at our present: what can we learn from the past - especially in view of the growing shift to the right and xenophobia in Europe?
