Lilly und Billy - Ich bin nicht schuld!
Nov 21, 2026
Bad Münstereifel
The production is based on the book of the same name by Ursula Gruß (text) and Lukas Oleschinski (illustrations), which deals with the topic of conflict resolution.
The play is suitable for children ages 5 and up, though adults can certainly find something to appreciate in it as well.
Christiane Remmert and Jojo Ludwig have crafted their play as a hybrid of puppet theater and live performance—a production that is as heartwarming as it is educational, without ever coming across as preachy.
Their story takes place in Claudia and Peter Röders’ workshop:
Claudia and Peter build puppets for puppet theater.
They’ve just finished four puppets: the baby rabbits Lilly and Luki, the young drake Billy, and a fox. Now they need to send them to their client, the famous “theater 1.”
But Claudia has grown so attached to the puppets that she’d love to keep them.
So before she sends them off, she wants to act out the story from the book herself—a story about a quarrel between friends and the question of who’s to blame for it.
Similar little arguments also come up now and then between Claudia and Peter. But since they know the story from the book, they also know how to handle such a situation without immediately ending their friendship.
And so, in the end, not only are Lilly and Billy reconciled, but so are Claudia and Peter, who now send the figures to the clients feeling a little more relieved and enlightened.
