The meadows at Blankenheim Castle are today a welcome play and kickabout area for the youth hostel. What is no longer visible at first glance is made visible by modern technology: In the 18th century, a baroque garden with a fountain, fed by the water of the late medieval animal garden tunnel system, extended here over several terraces. However, even structural remains can still be recognized in the area today with a trained eye.
