The Atelier drehsinn in Simmerath-Huppenbroich, Kapellenstr. 7 invites you to get to know the workshop of the woodturner Bernd Schmidt and his work in the studio on all days from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Many are familiar with turned stair spindles, table and chair legs as woodturning works from the past. Today, there are few woodturners as artisans who create works from local woods for everyday use as well as artistic objects that convey the beauty of the natural material wood. During a workshop tour, visitors get an insight into his working world, the materials, machines, and tools needed for it. He presents the results of his work in the studio.

Under the title 'Art and Ceramics', Irene Leister shows her works in Simmerath-Lammersdorf, Clara-Viebig-Str. 19 on Saturday and Sunday from the fields of ceramics, objects, painting, and drawing, and looks forward to a conversation about her intentions and works.

In the shop of the Weberei 'Gern Geschehen' in Monschau, Eschbachstr. 13, Rita Johannleweling presents her self-designed and woven products on Friday and Saturday together with other weavers from the region, thus offering insights into the diversity of hand weaving. Her guest Elke Buschmann presents handmade papers and objects from her bookbinding workshop. A creative participation in the origami workshop is offered.
