In the heart of the smallest town in North Rhine-Westphalia, our diverse hike begins, combining spectacular views, rustic paths, and exciting cultural history. Right at the start, we will climb Meuchelberg and be rewarded with a fantastic view over the Rursee and the Heimbach reservoir. Following adventurous paths and a scenic balcony path, we then descend into the Rur valley. There, the rustic jungle path leads us into a world that is almost enchanted. Between shrubs and trees, we repeatedly have stunning views of the Heimbach reservoir. At the art nouveau power station, elegant architecture, exciting industrial history, and sustainable electricity generation come together. The artists' town also has some art objects along the way. Look forward to a challenging hike with steep ascents and descents, great views, and many discoveries along the way.

The hike partially takes place on narrow paths that perfectly reflect the charm of the region. The hike is not suitable for strollers. Sturdy shoes / hiking boots with a profile sole are strongly recommended for this tour.
