Our city forest is one of the largest municipal forests in Germany. A reason to be proud! But how well do we really know it? We interview Mayor Sebastian Glatzel, who was already in the forestry committee of Bad Münstereifel at the age of 19, about his experiences and ideas. Tobias Wohlleben also attended high school in Bad Münstereifel and is now a recognized forest expert and owner of the “Wohlleben Forest Academy” in Wershofen.

We ask the experts: What is the current state of our forest? How has it survived the drought of the years 2017 – 22? What should be done or perhaps left alone?
