Sarah Höflich liest aus "Maikäferjahre"
Jun 27, 2025
Euskirchen
Sarah Höflich will be reading from her new novel "Maikäferjahre", which takes place after the end of the Second World War. She tells the stories of Anni, who flees destroyed Dresden with her daughter and the half-Jewish Adam, and her twin brother Tristan, who is taken prisoner of war in England as an air force pilot and is cared for by the nurse Rosalie despite severe hostility. And although they are separated by the turmoil of war, the siblings continue to write letters to each other and never stop hoping that the other is still alive.
The event is organized by Thalia Buchhandlung Euskirchen and takes place in cooperation with the Euskirchen City Library.
