"Everyone has a different hidden side," says Jana Meusel. "One person runs marathons, another collects beer mats from all over the world, a third climbs the highest peaks. I discovered dot painting for myself." It all started in 2022 during rehab to make good use of sleepless nights. Since then, it has become much more than a hobby that fills dull winter months with color. Dot painting, also known as "dot painting", is a fascinating art form that creates images and patterns by stringing together countless colored dots. It became particularly well known through the Aboriginal art of Australia, where it fulfills not only aesthetic, but also spiritual and narrative functions. Every color and arrangement has a deeper meaning there and tells stories of dreamtime, nature and culture.
