Konzert: "Hat and Voice"
Feb 6, 2026
Dahlem-Schmidtheim
Christiane Sara Bornscheid and Franz Radmacher, these are Hat and Voice, playing handmade acoustic music from the 60s to the 90s in the Eifeler music café.
Franz Radmacher
Born in 1962 in Euskirchen, right in the middle of a time of musical upheaval that shaped the era. Songs by Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to the soulful ballads of Gordon Lightfoot and John Denver socialized him, as the saying goes. But the German singer-songwriters like Hannes Wader and Reinhard Mey also had their place in his record collection. That means over 40 years of music, with the last 15 years being more intense. About four years ago, the duo "TwoOld" was formed together with his friend Bert Klinkenberg. This project started very well, even though the Corona crisis dampened things somewhat. In mid-2023, they parted ways for various reasons.
Franz is now initially continuing alone under the name "Hat and Voice." The name makes sense when you see and hear him perform.
His repertoire includes pieces from Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel, the Stones, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Reinhard Mey, and Hannes Wader, etc.
Original songs are to be incorporated this year, time permitting. Without the claim of being close to the original, he still strives to ensure that everyone recognizes the songs... and he has nothing against people singing loudly along. On the contrary…. it pleases him.
There are many reasons to make music. One was once formulated by a very good friend: "I only know that you lose your fear when you sing." If one can also transport this to the audience in this crazy time, even if only for a few hours, then that is the greatest reward for a musician.
