The circular tour starts at the Waldfriedhof in Lessenich. We hike towards “Katzensteine,” switch to the Römerkanal hiking trail at Burgfeyer Mühle, and reach the village of Weiler am Berge through the forest. We traverse the Eschweiler Valley with its limestone hills and proceed to Eicherscheid via the Ahr-Urft trail. At Knippberg (537m) near “Decke Tönnes,” we reach the halfway point and the highest point of the tour (there is a parking lot here for all half marathoners for your logistics).

The path continues to Rodert and through the Schleidpark in Bad Münstereifel. We pass through the forest to Iversheim.

After Wachendorf, we encounter the Bruder-Klaus Chapel of Peace, where we begin our final stretch back to Lessenich via Rißdorf.

There is an opportunity to celebrate the finish in Lessenich with local delicacies.
