The local circular hiking trail 30 of the South Eifel Nature Park leads from Neuerburg in the Enz Valley in a wide arc to the elevated village of Plascheid.

Trail 30 takes a wide loop north of the city of Neuerburg up to the height of Plascheid and contrasts the deeply incised Enz Valley with the open heights of the Plascheid Mountain.

Especially impressive, after the limited valley perspective and darker forest passages, is the panoramic view between "Auf der Höh" and "Auf dem Ketteschberg" at up to 495 m above sea level. On the way through the village, we get a first idea of the "Islek" with a 360° panoramic view.

The return journey begins with a forest passage and the meandering Grimbach that bends into the valley. On the former railway line, now the Enz cycle path, the hiker experiences the picturesque upper Enz Valley, which eventually leads him back to the Eifel town of Neuerburg.
