This year's exhibition is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our studio: 7 years in Düren and 23 years of exhibition activity in Huppenbroich, as the invitation to 'H23' already reveals.
We therefore cordially invite you to take a journey through time and to purchase works at anniversary prices.

With his work, woodturner Bernd Schmidt has always aimed to make the beauty of local woods visually and haptically tangible through perfect processing on the lathe. His objects, including functional ones such as tables and stools, are made from local woods such as Eifel beech, cherry, oak or ash with their traces of growth. But old woods such as oak beams, which tell a story, are also used.

Whether in stoneware or in the raku technique, the works of ceramist Karin Schmidt draw on her observations of nature and take the richness of form of the plant world as the basis for her objects. She also creates collaborative works with the woodturners, such as ceramic jars with turned wooden lids.

As has been the case for 23 years, the exhibition takes place on the last two weekends in September, this year on 20-21 and 27-28 September 2025 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., during the week by appointment by telephone (02473 - 931798) or email (info@drehsinn.de).
