A small cat flees from a huge, all-encompassing flood and saves itself in a sailing boat. Little by little, other animals find shelter in the boat, experience adventures and become friends. They cannot speak and yet they understand each other in a flooded world without humans. The clever cat, a vain, thieving monkey, a good-natured, playful dog, a proud secretary bird and a sleepy capybara.
