Rupperath is a town with a long weaving tradition. Discover the impressive collection of historical spinning equipment (hand spindles, spindle wheels, spinning wheels in various designs), reels and winches as well as weaving equipment (looms from the Eifel, weaving equipment from various continents) and thus 6000 years of cultural history of spinning and weaving in the Hand Weaving Museum.

Several new additions enrich and complete the permanent exhibition. One of the new devices is a wool picker for loosening washed raw wool, built by Jean Lehembre from Lille at the beginning of the 20th century. Another special feature is the exhibition "From flax to linen", which now presents all the work processes right through to the finished woven linen fabric.

Let us explain and demonstrate the work with the various machines. Experience that the old crafts have not yet been completely forgotten.
