Discover the fascinating diversity of the upper Heimbach valley on a varied hike. We walk on narrow paths and nature-friendly forest trails towards the source of the Heimbach, immersing ourselves deeply in the unspoiled landscape.

At an idyllic forest lake, we take a break and enjoy the soothing peace of nature. Refreshed, the path leads us up another ascent to open landscapes. From here, wide views open up over the gently rolling hills of the Eifel – a panorama that delights in every season. Our tour takes us through light oak and pine forests, as well as under the protective canopy of young beech trees along the slopes of the Heimbach. Time and again, special viewpoints and the varied nature invite us to pause and enjoy.

The return journey becomes an experience in itself: We descend via an adventurous path to Heimbach – the smallest town in North Rhine-Westphalia. The grand finale awaits us with one of the most spectacular views of Burg Hengebach, which towers high above the town – an unforgettable photographic motif and the perfect conclusion to our hike.
