Durch den Eickser Busch - Spätherbst in der Nordeifel
Nov 15, 2026
Mechernich-Eicks
Directly next to the well-known open-air museum Kommern lies the Eickser Busch – a fantastic forest area crisscrossed by beautifully scenic paths. For a peaceful autumn hike, this forest is the perfect setting. One wishes to wander forever on the hidden paths and trails – far away from civilization and hustle.
The Eickser Busch is framed by forest edge paths with magnificent views – the sight extends far into the Rhine plain and the heights of the Eifel. The nature reserve Rotbach- and Bruchbachtal is another highlight of our hiking tour – in the quiet valley, only the gentle murmur of the water can be heard. But not only nature shines here: The villages of Hostel, Glehn, and Eicks offer half-timbered charm and castle panorama – this region of the Nordeifel is a true masterpiece! The icing on the cake of the atmospheric late autumn tour is the final stop at the Bauerncafé zur Zehntscheune in Eicks: One can hardly find a more charming and delicious place to stop in the Eifel!
