In a large city, a girl lived in a huge high-rise building with her mother, right under the roof. The girl would have loved to have a dog, but her mother did not allow it. She preferred to sit by the window and watch everything that happened down on the street. In the same building lived a man. From above, he looked very small, so she called him "little uncle." The man was very lonely. He would have loved to have a friend. Nobody liked him, even though he was nice and friendly. This made him very sad. In his distress, he hung up notes everywhere that said: "Little lonely uncle is looking for a friend." Then he waited. On a beautiful spring day, a dog ran up to him and gently laid its cold nose in his hand...
