The Eifel view "Heckenland" lies at a height of approx. 520 meters above sea level and provides an insight into the "Monschauer Heckenland", an ancient cultural landscape that has grown over centuries and is unique in Europe. It is integrated into the "Höfener Heckenweg" circular hiking trail. Typical of the landscape are the meter-high house hedges within the settlements and a pronounced system of hedge hedge that runs through fields and meadows. The alternation between artistically drawn hedges, rows of bushes, individual trees and agricultural areas is what makes this landscape so attractive.
