Viewing platform at the Urft dam. The viewing platform on the Urft dam wall was the site of the barrier keeper's homestead built between 1924 and 1926 until it was destroyed in the Second World War. From here you have a wonderful view of Lake Urft, the former Ordensburg Vogelsang and the Urft dam wall.

Kronenburg

The castle ruin and fortified settlement of Kronenburg Kronenburg Castle was one of the characteristic medieval hill-castles of the Eifel built on the spur of a ridge in the Upper Kyll Valley. The self-contained impression of the castle ruin, outer bailey and fortified settlement and their adaptation to the topography make the special charm of this site. Hardtburg

The ruins of the Hardtburg moated castle lie on the heights of the Stotzheim Forest. Even today, the remains of the keep, the outer castle and the ring walls bear witness to a fortified medieval fortress, as its character has not been changed by alterations.

Stadtmuseum Euskirchen

The town museum invites you on an exciting journey through the history of Euskirchen. With numerous exhibits such as legionary helmets, motorbikes or cinema chairs, the town's history comes alive. The historic town wall is integrated into the rooms of the museum in the Kulturhof and is partly visible.

Eifel National Park centre - “Wildnis(t)räume” exhibition

In the Eifel National Park centre at the Vogelsang IP “International Place”, visitors can experience nature with all their senses - indoors and outdoors. Surrounded by dense mixed deciduous forests, the modern visitors’ centre above the Urftsee lake has hosted the “Wildnis(t)räume” (“Wilderness Dreams”) exhibition - a barrier-free, interactive nature experience for people of all ages. The Eifel National Park centre is open all year round.

The Ten Stargazes are places where you can observe the impressive night sky. They are easy to reach and perfectly equipped for an astronomical voyage of discovery on your own. Exciting information and suitable installations help to deepen the fascination of stargazing. Each Stargaze has been given its own theme. There, a variety of aspects of astronomy and nocturnal nature as well as local peculiarities are shown.
