A beautiful high path with great views from rocky outcrops leads to the Perlenbach Dam. We hike through the upper Rur valley, up to the Kaltenherberger Höhe and back down into the Rur valley, passing the Norbert Chapel and after a detour to the Cross in the Venn to the Gut Kloster Reichenstein. The last part of the hike runs along a wild-romantic path along the young Rur, which flows like a high mountain stream over rocky barriers and with many rapids back to the destination in Monschau.
