Our route starts in the Mechernich forest and first leads to Lorbach. There we circle Lorbach's local mountain on a wide loop. During the hike, you will be treated to wonderful panoramic views as far as the Siebengebirge. The gentle hills, wide fields and idyllic forest sections make this part of the hike a special nature experience. The Kallmuther Berg nature reserve awaits us on the way back. Here we hike through heathland and past species-rich, natural meadows - a paradise for nature lovers and photographers. The tour is rounded off with a glimpse into the past: we take a look at some of the relics of the traditional Mechernich mining industry.
