Wanderung EifelSchleife "Dem Himmel ganz nah"
Feb 22, 2026
Nettersheim-Marmagen
The starting point of the hike is the castle village of Kronenburg. Here you will find narrow alleys and medieval houses where once knights, castle men, clerics, farmers, and craftsmen resided, today hosting art galleries and artisan shops. From Kronenburg, you should make the short ascent to the castle ruins. From the Eifel view there, you have a fantastic view of the surrounding hilly landscape and the Kronenburger Lake. The castle ruins of Kronenburg, mentioned for the first time in the year 1277, are remnants of the former high castle above the Kylltal.
