Wanderung auf dem Felsenweg B 1 von Beaufort
Aug 15, 2026
Nettersheim-Marmagen
This challenging and varied hiking trail starts at Beaufort Castle and leads through forests, along picturesque stream valleys and bizarre rock formations. The trail begins at the castles of Beaufort: the medieval fortress and the adjacent Renaissance castle. The fortress can be visited. Here, the famous Cassero (liqueur made from blackcurrants) is produced. From there, the path leads over a wooden walkway towards Klingelbuer, the former washing well of the castle. After crossing a small village, the trail continues through the forest, along a stream, down into the Saueruecht nature reserve. Here, beautiful viewpoints offer views of the Sauer valley. Towards the end of the tour, you reach the wild and romantic stream valleys of Haupeschbaach and Halerbaach. Small wooden bridges, lush moss growth, and massive rock fragments characterize the landscape. The crowning highlight of the tour is the view of the castle with the small pond located in front of it.
