A hike for anyone who wants to discover the diversity that the forest has to offer off the beaten track. Knowledge about animals and plants is imparted in a fun and playful way.

During the summer vacations, the municipality of Simmerath once again organizes the popular forest experience days for children and young people. Whether it's the forest at night, the animals of the forest or edible plants, there are lots of exciting things for young and young-at-heart explorers to discover.

Forester Jörg Melchior from the Rureifel-Jülicher Börde Regional Forestry Office leads young and old through the forest on three-hour themed walks during the forest adventure days.
