Dr. Kianhwa Djie, a profound expert on the historical organ of Steinfeld, will be joining the next organ vesper at the Basilica of St. Potentinus in Steinfeld. Djie, a PhD mathematician, has been playing the organ in various communities in Aachen since the age of 12. Since 1994, he has regularly performed in concerts on both organ and harpsichord. He honed his skills at the organ, among others, in masterclasses with Gereon Krahforst, who thrilled the audience during his guest performance in Steinfeld on 10.11.24. It will be interesting to see how his "student" presents the program featuring works by Rinck (1770 – 1846), Krebs (1713 – 1780), Hugo Distler (1908 - 1942), Müthel (1728 – 1788), and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809 – 1847). During his last appearance in Steinfeld, he impressed with a coherent registration and technically skilled playing.
