In this four-hour introductory course, you will learn the basics about different types of wool and try out the appropriate tools to prepare the fibers and create a yarn. Hand spindles as well as different spinning wheels can be tested in peace. By the end, everyone should have found their favorite wool and spinning technique.

When the fingers need a break, we will take a quick look at the current temporary exhibition "From Wool" and learn something about sheep breeding, fiber structure, and examine our self-spun threads through the microscope.
