Online Vortrag: Vogelfreundliches Bauen mit Glas
Jan 29, 2026
The annual nationwide loss of birds in Germany due to collisions with glass is estimated to be over 100 million individuals. Science and industry have long developed suitable solutions together; however, there is still a lack of widespread implementation. Claudia Wegworth's presentation explains the causes and relevance of the topic for species conservation, clarifies the legal regulations, and showcases suitable solutions through best-practice examples. Afterwards, all participants are warmly invited to pose their questions and suggestions during the discussion round.
The online offering is organized and funded by the joint LEADER projects "Future Villages" of the Eifel, Zülpich Börde, and the Rhenish Mining Area at Inde and Rur, by the Biological Stations of the districts of Düren, Euskirchen, and Bonn/Rhein-Erft, and is thus free of charge for all participants.
