Colorful parrots, monkeys lurking among the vines, and right in the middle of it all, a gigantic pumpkin tarantula: things are getting wild at the Krewelshof Eifel! This year, North Rhine-Westphalia’s largest pumpkin show opens under the adventurous theme of “Jungle.” More than 100,000 freshly harvested pumpkins transform the lake grounds into a tropical fantasy world: along mysterious paths between jungle vines and artfully crafted jungle creatures, there’s something new to discover around every corner. Some sculptures are huge, while others are full of tiny details. And almost all of them are just begging to be photographed. Whether you’re with your kids, your dog, or your friends: at several photo spots, you can print out the coolest snapshots right on the spot.
And since a real jungle isn’t just for looking at, of course, plenty of adventures await guests alongside the pumpkin art: included in the admission price are the corn maze and an atmospheric indoor light show. If you get hungry after the tour, you can sample a variety of fall pumpkin dishes or start your visit first thing in the morning with the breakfast buffet....
