Kunstausstellung: "Fundstücke"
Nov 3, 2025 - Dec 31, 2025
Kall
The artist, who lives in Nettersheim, deals with the art of her deceased father by using his unfinished pictures to create new works. She calls them "found objects". Irene Lösener paints into her father's pictures, colors them, uses them for installations or creates collages from various pictures. She gives herself free rein - only one thing is obligatory: "When my father signed a picture, it means he thought it was finished." She always respects that, even if a work doesn't seem quite "finished" to her personally. Irene Lösener also gives her own art, paintings, collages and installations the space inherent in the work: "I like it when a picture remains mysterious," she says, "if it can be interpreted, I think that's stupid." How did she get into art? Cologne-born Irene Lösener smiles: "All children like to paint - and I just never stopped."
