Some actors merge so completely with their roles that the mere sight of them evokes thoughts of their character's name. This is also true for Leonard Lansink, who has been playing a private detective in Münster for nearly 30 years and has heard the phrase "Ah, that's Wilsberg" countless times since then. He is now performing with his iconic role at the parish center in Lammersdorf and reading from the Wilsberg novels by Jürgen Kehrer.

Leonard Lansink grew up with his grandparents in Gelsenkirchen. After graduating from high school and completing a few semesters of medical studies, he enrolled in drama at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. He then had engagements on stages in Essen, Bochum, and Oberhausen. Since the early 1990s, Lansink has made a name for himself on television - often in striking supporting roles, such as in the TV miniseries "Leo and Charlotte" (1991) or in the best-selling adaptation "Der stille Herr Genardy" (1997). Since 1997, he has been playing the quirky investigator Georg Wilsberg in the very successful Münster crime series on ZDF.

In 1997, Leonard Lansink received a special award for his acting performance in the ZDF film "Nur für eine Nacht" at the Baden-Baden Days of Television. In addition to the Wilsberg films, he has appeared in many other German crime series, such as "Ein Fall für Zwei," "SOKO 5113," "Polizeiruf 110," "Der letzte Zeuge," and several episodes of "Tatort."
