Konzert Sinfonisches Orchester Euskirchen
Oct 11, 2026
Euskirchen
The program features Johannes Brahms’s rarely performed Double Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra in A minor, Op. 102, with soloists Caroline Frey and Soraya Ansari; Ludwig van Beethoven’s wonderful “little” Symphony No. 8 in F major, Op. 93, by Ludwig van Beethoven, and Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky’s “Witches’ Sabbath”: A Night on Bald Mountain in D minor. This program, featuring works from the late Classical and High Romantic periods, transports the audience back into the world of grand symphonic music with its incredible richness of color and the power of the large Romantic orchestral lineup, including a full brass section and diverse percussion arrangements. The Euskirchen Symphony Orchestra is a large ensemble affiliated with the Euskirchen Music School that rehearses weekly with a symphonic lineup. It is composed of highly skilled amateur musicians and professionals and is supported by faculty members of the music school. The orchestra is conducted by Prof. Klaus Heiwolt.
