Köln-Tour - Dächer des Kölner Doms
Sep 20, 2025
Nettersheim
We meet at platform 1 of Nettersheim station to travel together by train to Cologne.
The 90-minute guided tour begins with a ride in the construction elevator up to the roofs of Cologne Cathedral. Be amazed by the filigree iron construction of the roof truss, explore unknown tower rooms with depots of the Dombauhütte and enjoy the spectacular view over Cologne. As the tour is only open to those aged 16 and over, we will alternatively climb the south tower with children, marvel at the "fat pitter" in the bell chamber during the ascent and look out over the city from the viewing platform.
After the tour, we walk together for about 15 minutes to take a short tour of St. Ursula's Church with the largest ossuary north of the Alps. Finally, we stop for refreshments at the "Schreckenskammer" brewery.
