Kippenweg in Steckenborn
Dec 7, 2025 - Jan 9, 2026
Simmerath-Steckenborn
Just in time for the first Advent, the Nativity Trail in Steckenborn opens for the fourth time. This Nativity Trail is especially meant to delight children's eyes and bring the warmth of the Nativities into the hearts of both children and adults. Along the approximately one-and-a-half-hour round path, over 60 lovingly arranged depictions of the birth of Christ will be shown. The tour begins at the village square in Steckenborn (Street "Am Dorfplatz") and continues towards the forest. There, one follows the stars just as they did over 2000 years ago.
In total, it covers nearly 3.5 kilometers with about 90 meters of elevation. In some places, it might be a bit muddy. Therefore, it's advisable to wear good footwear and use strollers with thick tires. However, the path is not wheelchair accessible. At the end, there is also a resting area in a festively decorated shed.
