"Ach, Du Fröhliche" ....This year, all theater fans can once again look forward to a performance by the theater group of the Freilingen Association for Customs and Culture in the Meiershof hall. For the first time, Brigitte Schneider, who has been active on the theater stage in Freilingen for many years, will direct the play. The play "Ach, Du Fröhliche" by Bernd Gombold is set, as the title suggests, around Christmas time.

On Christmas Eve, the Maier family's house is in a real mess, as father Anton and son Markus wake up with thick heads but without the Christmas tree they were supposed to get.

The nosy neighbor Martha tells them about a terrible accident, an accident victim buried in the garden, a corpse in the cellar and a wild shoot-out in the deer park. On top of all this, Anton's brother-in-law's jewelry store is said to have been broken into on the night in question.
