Schoener, born in Heidelberg in 1953 and trained in Freiburg, Paris and Amsterdam, is one of the most renowned church musicians of his generation.
The 2016 ECHO Klassik prizewinner will frame a dance suite based on old tablature movements by the great Austrian organist Hans Haselböck (1928 - 2021) with works by Buxtehude and J. S. Bach.

You can be sure that this concert will be a worthy conclusion to this year's Steinfeld organ cycle, which features a first-class line-up throughout.
As always, the organizer hopes to receive a generous donation at the end of the concert to fund the Steinfeld church music projects.
