Fotoworkshop im Nationalpark-Zentrum Eifel

Jun 21, 2025

Schleiden

On June 21, the Eifel National Park Center is offering a photo workshop for beginners and advanced photographers on the subject of nature photography with professional Paul Kornacker from 9 am to 6 pm.

Photography is creativity. The camera is the tool to turn a photographic view into a convincing image. In this all-day photography workshop, we will train ourselves to focus on the essentials of our photography in order to specifically depict grace, colors and shapes. Forests, meadows and water, with their multifaceted content, are the perfect place to realize photographic ideas. Photography or painting? Real or artistic? A small turn of the lens changes the effect of the picture. Skilfully staging trees, viewing the forest as a landscape, playing with the element of water, photographing small things on a large scale or creating a creative photo - these are just some of the topics covered in this varied photography workshop.

Registration:
Interested parties should register by 06.06.2025 at info@nationalparkzentrum-eifel.de or by telephone on 02444-915740. Questions about the photo workshop will be answered by photo trainer, biologist and GDT photographer Mr. Paul Kornacker at https://www.pkornacker.de/kontakt/.

Procedure:
We start with a brief introduction to nature photography: What do I need to bear in mind, how do I avoid typical mistakes, which focal lengths are suitable for which purposes? Image composition, image design, line management, designing with light and macro photography are further theoretical topics.
After the introduction in the seminar room of the Eifel National Park Center, we will walk through the "Wildnis(t)räume" adventure exhibition together with a ranger from the National Park in order to be inspired for the subsequent practical part of the photo workshop. Afterwards, we will go "motif stalking" together in the immediate surroundings. Your photo trainer will be available the entire time to answer questions and give advice. He will give practical instructions on image composition, look over your shoulder and, if necessary, give you tips for a better angle.
After the practical part of the workshop, we will sit down together for a constructive photo discussion.

For refreshments during the lunch break, there is the option of visiting the "Gastro Vogelsang IP", a panoramic restaurant with an outdoor terrace.
