Familientag zum 25-jährigen Jubiläum der Tuchfabrik Müller
Sep 21, 2025
Euskirchen-Kuchenheim
The Müller cloth factory opened its doors to museum visitors 25 years ago. To mark this anniversary, a family day with a varied program is being held. Admission to the permanent and special exhibition is free on this day with the "Pay what you want day".
Anyone interested is cordially invited to join guided tours "behind the scenes of museum work" at 12:30, 13:30 and 14:30. Participants take a tour through time - from the closure of the factory in 1961 to the extensive research project and today's museum. Selected photos provide insights into conceptual considerations and strategic decisions. Each tour lasts around 60 minutes. The number of participants is limited, tickets are available on site at the museum ticket office.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Shedhalle will be transformed into a colorful LEGO landscape with impressive creations. The small but exquisite exhibition in a historical setting presents various models made of colorful bricks. Selected flea market stalls, a marble run station and a play corner for children round off the offer.
Also from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., expert model makers will be showcasing their miniature steam engines - from Stirling engines to steam pumps and locomobiles. In addition, the original steam engine from the historic cloth factory from 1903 will be running and young visitors (children aged 8 and over must be accompanied) can try out Wilesco model steam engines.
