Durch den Eickser Busch - Spätherbst in der Nordeifel

Mechernich-Eicks
The Kommern open-air museum in the northern Eifel region is known beyond the region. The adjacent Eickser Busch, a beautiful forest between the Mechernich districts of Kommern, Hostel, Eicks and Glehn, on the other hand, is a hidden natural gem. On our tour, we roam through the forest area and enjoy the views from the edge of the forest towards the Rhine plain and the surrounding Eifel heights. The Rotbach and Bruchbach Valley nature reserve is another highlight on our late autumn route through the Northern Eifel - the quiet babbling and hidden idyll of this stream landscape gives wings to the hiker's soul... The villages provide a picturesque backdrop to the natural experience: Hostel in particular comes up trumps with its beautiful half-timbered buildings. And in Eicks, the moated castle provides the perfect backdrop for our charming final stop at the Bauerncafé zur Zehntscheune. There could hardly be a more eventful and peaceful start to Advent...
