"Community, culture and historical memories" are to be celebrated at a village and chapel festival. The festivities to mark the 125th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone in 1900 will begin on Saturday evening with a musical "blast", namely the Mechernich rock and cult band "Von Stülp Revival". "The men want to create an exuberant atmosphere in the marquee," says the press release: "In addition to freshly tapped drinks, French wines from the twin town of Nyons and delicious specialties from the grill will be on offer."

On Sunday, June 15, the celebrations will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a festive church service in the chapel. Pastor Peter Wycislok will hold a special mass to mark the anniversary and highlight the historical significance of the chapel for the village and its inhabitants.
