"I am very pleased to be able to exhibit my paintings in "SIMONS GLÜCK" with my friends Simon and his husband Mario.

My name is Hanne Rick, I am 67 years old, live in Euskirchen and like to do so. My paintings are acrylic on canvas. I painted them at a very sad time in my life, but this should be completely irrelevant to the viewer. I had my first exhibition with paintings in oil on canvas in Bonn in 1987, where I exhibited 15 Modern Art paintings. They were purchased after 4 days by a restaurant owner from Bonn and hung there for over 25 years. When the restaurant closed for reasons of age, the owner gave them away to private owners. From 1987 onwards, I painted very little and only on commission. When I found myself in a very sad phase of my life from 2016 to 2020, I started painting again.

I am often asked the question: "Why don't the women have faces and why do you paint angels?" When I look at the pictures myself today, I think that both had a very specific reason when I painted them. NO FACES because a female person I love very much completely lost her face back in October 2016.(In a symbolic sense, of course.) ANGELS because I hoped and still hope that angels will accompany and protect my loved ones and me.
