Tournament for the “Luisjen” Cup On Saturday, March 25, the eighth Schocker Championship will take place in the Gier Hall in Kall – trophies and prizes for the best dice artists – contest for “General” and “Shock out” Kall - The association for the preservation of the Gier inn in Kall is organizing the fifth Schocker Championship for the trophies of the Gier inn on Friday evening, May 25, beginning at 6 PM, in the hall of the inn. For the seventh time, the contest will also be for the traveling trophy “Luisjen Cup,” which is meant to commemorate the cult innkeeper Luise Gier, who passed away in 1985. Players from the entire district are expected to participate in the championship. The games will be played in three rounds of 15 games each. For three hours, the dice will dance over the gaming tables in Kall's “Schockertempel,” while the dice artists will compete for “Shock out,” “Street,” or “Three Germans” (General). After each round, the seating will be redrawn. The game manager is the club secretary Reiner Züll. The top-ranked player will win winner trophies and prizes. The highly coveted championship is the large “Luisjen Cup,” which was donated by the granddaughter of the innkeeper, Andreas Gier. The cult innkeeper Luise Gier hosted guests at the Gier inn for almost seven decades before she had to close the business due to illness in 1983 at the age of 84. The title defender of the overall ranking on March 25 is Thomas Sander from Schleiden, who will also have to defend the crown of the Shock-out King. The tournament will be held at ten gaming tables, limiting the number of participants to 40.
