Rursee

Heimbach

In the middle of the Eifel National Parkembedded in a unique landscape and surrounded by unspoiled nature, the Rursee and Obersee lakes are the ideal destination for unforgettable leisure experiences.

A circular tour by bike takes you around the lake for around 27 kilometers - always with a view of the water and through a varied, sometimes almost untouched landscape. If you want to discover even more, extend the route to around 42 kilometers and include the Upper and Urftsee lakes. A pedelec, which can be hired directly on site, is a particularly comfortable way to get around; we recommend booking in advance by telephone.

The lake landscape can also be explored on foot. The classic route is a hike along the shore. More challenging routes lead over the wooded heights, where fascinating views of the water open up between the treetops and impressive vistas of the lake landscape emerge time and again. If you want to shorten your tour, you can board the passenger boats of the Rursee-Schifffahrtand then end the day in one of the restaurants or cafés.

The lakeside towns of Rurberg, Woffelsbach, Einruhr, Eschauel and Schwammenauel offer numerous opportunities for a relaxing break. Where there is so much water, there is also plenty of bathing pleasure The Eiserbachsee in Rurberg, the bay in Woffelsbach, the natural outdoor pool in Einruhr and the beach club in Eschauel - the latter even has its own dog beach - are particularly inviting on hot summer days.

Active people also get their money's worth: Canoes, kayaks and SUP boards are available for hire in Woffelsbach, Rurberg and Eschauel. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, you can also hire a small electric boat in Schwammenauel - without a boating license. All boat rentals can be found here

For all questions about excursions and vacations, hiking tips or boat schedules, the tourist information offices on the Rursee. In the adjoining store you will find many beautiful, practical, tasty and interesting products as well as atmospheric Rursee souvenirs.
