Hotel Restaurant Café Schröder

Hellenthal

Enjoy a carefully curated menu at our newly renovated restaurant.
When the weather is nice, you can also take a seat on our patio or in the garden.
The chef prepares numerous regional specialties with great love and care.

Home-style cooking that has something for everyone.

We offer various seasonal menus and gastronomic weekends —which we’re happy to arrange during the week upon request.

Nestled amid wonderfully fragrant forests, at an elevation of nearly 700 meters, lies our hotel-restaurant-café.
We are a family-run business with decades of tradition.
Experience the nearby RAVeL 45a—idyllic panoramic views and the unique borderland charm of historic times. Endless hikes through forests and meadows offer relaxation. Mountain bikers will also find plenty to enjoy. The Stoneman Arduenna is the new highlight in the heart of East Belgium, but there’s also a diverse network of 680 km of trails to explore.
Popular destinations include Lake Bütgenbach, the historic town center of Monschau, and the Hohes Venn Nature Park.
In winter, cross-country ski rentals are available right at the hotel.

Gastwirtschaft "Zur Post"

Do you love the historic rural ambience of a bygone century? We welcome you to enjoy our very special offer: Sausages and meat products from German pasture pigs from the museum's own breeding, bread and crumble cake from the museum bakery's stone oven, fruit juices and wines from organic cultivation. Four different regions invite you to enjoy typical specialities of the Lower Rhine, Bergisches Land, Westerwald or the Eifel. Our seasonally changing menu delights you with cold or hot regional dishes. The beer garden behind the "Zur Post" inn invites young and old to linger. There is a rest area for children's groups and school classes - no need to eat!
