Those exploring the village tour usually begin their walk at the historic Catholic parish church. From there, the tour leads to the former institutions where both lessons and - depending on your perspective - less enjoyable school experiences took place. The tour continues to Mausbach Castle, which once served as the center of secular authority.

Further on, you come across the simple residence of a rather insignificant and sometimes controversial baron. This building was later converted into a poorhouse in two ways. You also pass the old fire station and the former mayor's office, both of which provide an insight into the former life of the community.

The trail also includes three chapels. Particularly impressive is the small baroque chapel in the Fleuth, which is still a place of devotion today.

If you would like to extend the tour, you can head for the somewhat hidden Fleuth chapel or visit the Barbara chapel in Krewinkel. A detour to Krewinkel is also worthwhile because of the view of the area of the former Roman scattered settlement between Mausbach and Gressenich.
