The charming farmer's museum was established in 1984 by the Lammersdorf Association for Local History and Village Culture as an extracurricular educational facility and is still maintained in the form of a museum today.

At that time, in less than a year, an exhibition area with around 2000 exhibits was created in an old, empty farmhouse, which can be described as the local history museum of the Monschau region. Visitors gain an insight into the life of the Eifel population at the turn of the century.

The exhibits bear witness to the harmonious, but also arduous way of life of the Eifel ancestors.

The museum gives visitors the impression that the inhabitants are not actually in the house, due to the fact that there are no barriers or showcases in the exhibition.

The restored large appliances can be admired in the spacious outdoor area and the pretty herb garden rounds off the cozy ambience.

Admission to the museum is free.

Note on accessibility

As the Farmers' Museum is an old house, it is unfortunately not barrier-free and only accessible to a limited extent for people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users!
